|How can I tell the difference between Centipede and St. Augustine grass?|Answer from NGA
March 25, 2005
St. Augustine and Centipede are similar in appearance. Centipede is a smaller grass with the grass blades being about 2/3 the size of St. Augustine. It is also a little lighter shade of green in appearance, and is more low growing.
