I have just purchased a fuschia plant and want to know does it require shade or sun. Also when is it best to fertilize and what kind?

Evelyn,

Fuchsias are gorgeous but they really suffer in the heat of the south. They like sun but can't take our hot southern sun. Give the a little morning sun and the rest of the day a very bright shade or dappled shade. Keep the soil moist but not soggy and this will give it the best chance of performing well for you.
