When do I prune my lemon tree, and how do I trim it? |
Prune in early spring, just as the plant begins to leaf out. For a young tree, you shouldn't need to do much pruning--only dead wood, crossing branches, etc. Most citrus trees don't require a great deal of pruning, in fact they set more fruit if you don't prune, but you can certainly remove any errant branches, or anything dead or obviously diseased. Best wishes with your lemon tree! |
