|Is it too late to plant my Japanese maples this year?|
|Although your Japanese maple is probably already starting to leaf out, you should still be able to plant it in the ground in early spring without stressing it out too much. Spring and fall are the ideal months to plant and transplant trees and shrubs because temperatures are generally cooler and rainfall abundant, but you can transplant at almost any time of year, providing you keep the plants well watered while their roots are getting established. Be sure to plant your maple at the same soil level as it was growing before, and water deeply once each week to encourage good root growth.|
Enjoy your landscape!
