Broccoli Raab is sometimes called asparagus broccoli, because it has delicate, tender buds and stems that are harvested for stir-fry cooking or for addition to a salad.

It takes about 45 days from seedling to maturity. Harvest the small turnip-like leaves with the small flower bud clusters and use them fresh or lightly cooked. Depending on the weather, your plant may put out more leaves in a few weeks. If not, pull it out, because it really is an annual.
