| Ruth, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question as we are transitioning to a new Q&A system. I hope this reply is not too late to be of help. I am not sure which plant you were referring to as "wandering dew drop tree". If you have another name or a genus and species name please submit another question and I'll be happy to try again. Desert rose (Adenium obesum) is an easy care plant that is not all that difficult to grow. It is native to arid areas of Africa. If you water it enough to keep the soil moist and fertilize it fairly regularly it will bloom up a storm during the warm summer months. If you allow it to dry out it will drop its leaves which return when it is watered again. Cold weather can also cause leaf drop. Desert rose prefers an acidic soil mix and full sun. It can be grown in a container or in the ground but needs good drainage. It does not like temperatures below the mid 50's. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
