Pick a shrub - Knowledgebase Question

Colorado Springs, CO

Looking for an evergreen-type shrub to hide a low retaining wall. Something that doesn't get too high (up to 4 ft), but wide is OK. Fairly shaded area due to neighbor's fence, would get more sun in summer. Are there any evergreens that flower - this is a very dull location? I know I'm asking for a miracle bush, but any help is appreciated. Thank you

I suggest you contact your County Cooperative Extension office. They will have lists of recommended plants that do well in local growing conditions, especially your cold winters. They are at 301 S. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs, 719-636-8920. Good luck!
