I have large planting beds that are located under large oak trees, so these beds are very well shaded but would like to plant annuals and perennials that will do well in the shade, can you please advise, I live in San Antonio, Texas.

Rosario,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question as we are transitioning to a new Q&A system. I hope this reply is not too late to be of help.

Some annuals and perennials for shady spots in San Antonio include: persian shield, impatiens, wishbone flower, caladium, ferns, and Aztec grass (looks like white and green colored liriope).

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
