I purchased 2 crepe myrtle plants 4 years ago from a local nursery and they have yet to show me a single bloom. Leaves come out every year but still no flowers. What can I do to get them to flower or is there no hope? |
Crepe myrtle blooms on new growth of the season, so pruning it in spring can help stimulate blooming wood. Make sure it has adequate fertility but do not overfertilize it. Also, full sun is really needed for crape myrtle to bloom its best. Try pruning it back now to stimulate new flowering wood. |
