| Daniel, You will need to keep the newly laid sod adequately moist, not totally saturated, by giving frequent (daily or twice daily) light waterings for a few weeks then back off slowly to twice weekly for another month or so and then once weekly. Deep aeration and compost topdressings (1/3 inch deep) once a year will also be helpful. Fertilize with a 3-1-2 or 4-1-2 ratio product applying 1 pound of nitrogen a month after sodding and again in mid summer and early October this first year. Thanks for the question.
