Sansevieria, the Mother-In-Law's Tongue, is grown outdoors in mild-winter climates and indoors in climates such as yours. It withstands dry air, fluctuating temperatures and scanty, infrequent waterings. It will grow under low-light conditions but looks better if given moderate light, average household temperatures and water when the soil is dry. It's an almost cast-iron plant!
