| I have two 15 foot red cedar trees in my yard, the are approx 30 feet from each other. One of the trees produces NO leaves, however the branches are still moist and alive. What could be the problem? |
| Cedar trees are very slow growing, and because they're evergreen, they hold on to their leaves for 2-3 years. When the foliage gets old, the tree sheds the leaves and produces new ones. It may be that your cedar has not yet finished with its old leaves and has no reason to grow new ones. If the one that doesn't appear to be producing new leaves looks otherwise healthy, I don't think there's anything to worry about. It will catch up to its neighbor - it's just working within its own timeframe. |
