I live in the Fremont, Bay Area, and has mild climate. Do you think I can be successful with growing Cherimoya? I know it is a sub tropical tree, but relatively frost tolerant. I recently see Home depot, Milpitas carry them, from La Verne Nursery. Any advise with best chance of success? Thanks |
Cherimoya will survive temperatures as low as 25F. It's unlikely you'll receive temperatures that low for an extended period of time, so I think you'll be successful with one in your yard. I think I'd take the chance - the flowers are fragrant and the fruit is wonderfully flavorful. Enjoy! |
