I understand i should use sand before placing my pavers along the driveway. Is it advisable to also use a weedblocker material between the dirt and sand, or the blocker then dirt and sand. Which is best? Is there a certain type of sand, or is playlot sand acceptable?

By the time you have excavated to put down gravel topped with coarse builders sand (not the finer play sand) and tamped thoroughly (read and carefully follow all of the paver the manufacturer's directions; your local store may also have instructions you can read as well), weeds should not be able to come up from below the pavers. Weed seeds will however blow in and could sprout between the pavers so you may have to weed there eventually. A layer of weed block below grade would not prevent that from happening.
