|We'd like to plant a weeping cherry near our front porch. When we began shopping for one, we realized that most varietes grow to 20 or 30 ft. tall 25 to 30 ft. wide which will be much too big for this location. Can you recommend a dwarf variety that will not grow so large? How about weeping crab apples or weeping pussy willows-do they stay small?

|In my experience the weeping crabapples tend to be the more reliable bloomers in your area. There is also a wider variety you could pick from. Molten Lava is one of my personal favorites among the smaller weeping ones, Red Jade is another popular one. Your local professional nursery staff should be able to help you select something in the size range you need.
