Have a full sun hillside (10'x 80'). Want a low growing ,2'-3' evergreen. First choice is gardenia but afraid it will be too tall.Could you suggest something similar. Is there a low growing gardenia?

There are two dwarf gardenias available; 'White Gem' and 'Artic Snow'. They are more adapted to growing in containers where you can control the growing environment by moving them into afternoon shade during the hottest part of the summer. I think a better choice would be Star Jasmine. This trailing plant makes great groundcover and if kept well watered will grow in full sunshine.

Best wishes with your landscape!
