How do I increase the yield on my blackberries and hydrangeas?

Both blackberries and hydrangeas produce flowers (and fruit) on new shoots that develop on old wood. Prune your plants back in the winter and the new shoots they develop in the spring should develop lots of new flowers (and fruit).
