How can I get mushroom compost slightly acidic for planting Dicentra species? If it requires peat moss, how much should I add to the mushroom compost? Any advice would really help.

The standard recommendation is 3-4" of peat spread on top of the planting bed and worked into the soil 6-8". Alternatively, you could add cottonseed meal at the same rate to help acidify the soil.
