|Have a beautiful hibiscus, very green foilage and lots of buds, however, they are very very slow in blooming.
At first it was full of blooms and we watered the entire plant with Miracle Gro (liquid) foilage and all., and then the blooms seem to be far and few between.
What could have happened. Usually we would have at least five or six new blooms daily.
|It sounds as though your plant is putting much of its energy into developing foliage and stems, at the expense of producing flowers. This may be a natural growth cycle, or it may have been brought on by an over-application of nitrogen fertilizer. As soon as it uses up the nitrogen you've just fed it, it should slow the development of lush, green growth and redirect its energy into producing flowers. When it does, it will reward you with those beautiful flowers once again.|
