Japanese Blueberry planted facing North; Zone 9

Planted about 1-1/2 years ago is very thin, though it has been fed with fertilzer and pruned slightly to keep conical shape. What can I do to make it thrive? I am past the guarantee date from the landscaper.

Betty,

If it is getting adequate sun it should have the energy needed to sustain strong growth. Otherwise it will not. I would continue to fertilize using a turf fertilizer at a rate of 1 cup per 100 square feet of soil surface area applied in March, May and July. Continue to prune in order to shape the plant but only periodically as this encourages more branching and thinner growth.
