I'm afraid that once the flower stalk is gone, it's gone. The usual growth cycle for bromeliads is that they produce a flower and once the flower fades, you cut the flowering stalk off near the foliage. After flowering, the plant will produce offshoots from the base, called "pups", and then the "mother plant" will die. In time, the pups will form roots at their base and can then be cut away from the other plants and planted to form more plants. For more information on bromelliads check out the following web site: http://www.ghg.net/beyer/brome... Thanks for the question.
