My fiance and I were wondering if the berries on Liriope Gigantea are poisonous to children or animals.

Because the plant is a member of the lily family, the berries are suspected to be toxic if eaten. However, no known cases have been reported to the Poison Control Center so they have little information. I'd cut off the faded flowers before the plants have a chance to produce berries. That way, there will be no berries to cause concern.
