Mimosa trees tend to seed about and so you may find seedlings appearing throughout an area. In my experience the seeds can be raked up in the fall as a start to controlling the seedlings. In the spring, raking and fluffing any mulched areas and topping up the mulch can also help smother the seedlings. Any seedlings that do still manage to appear can be pulled easily when the soil is damp -- if you catch them while they are still small. I hope this helps.
