Are mandevilla x amabilis perennials? - Knowledgebase Question

I'd like to know if mandevilla x amabilis are perennials, if they are can I plant them in permanent garden?

These plants are perennial in warmer climates, but they will not survive freezing weather. So in your area they are grown and sold as annuals or as container plants to be brought indoors each winter.
