Last year I bought a Minerva Rose of Sharon from a local nursery. The blooms were lavender last year. This year the blooms are pink. What happened? Is there something I can do so the blooms will be lavender again? |
Different cultivars of Rose of Sharon bloom in different colors, but the flower colors do not change over the life of the shrub. 'Minerva' has lavender pink flowers. You may be seeing old, faded flowers, or new, yet to fully mature flowers which can be a lighter color than the fully mature flowers. Watch your plant carefully and I'll bet you'll see that old familiar color again. |
