we are thinking about growing a mimosa tree. we have a full sun area and live in the southern us. my daughter and myself are both allergic to bee stings. is the mimosa tree one that is known to attract bees? the flower of the mimosa is quite beautiful and i know that some trees/flowers are especially well liked by bees. lisa stanley

In my experience, mimosa trees do attract bees as well as hummingbirds, and butterflies. So it may not be a good choice for you.
