I have six Emerald Green Arborvites as a screen area. One tree on the end has over the past 4-5 weeks developed brown needles begining from the tip of the limb. It seems to be sporatic over the entire tree. I am unable to find any evidence of insects etc.. None of the other trees are showing any evidence of this. Any idea what it is, and what to do about it? I don't want to loose these trees. They are well established and have never show any disease signs before.

It is challenging to diagnose problems such as these. Try to imagine anything that might have affected this tree and not the others... such as overspray from an herbicide application, for example. If you don't see evidence of insects, you might want to contact a professional arborist to evalutate the situation. It sounds like these trees are an important part of your landscape and it might be worth the expense to have them evaluated. Sorry I can't be of more help!
