| I would like to put a Sasanqua Camella (one with white flowers-Setseg?) in front of my living room window. It has a Southern Exposure in Calif. wine country. One retailer told me it would do fine and another said it could not take the heat. Your opinion? Thank you very much. |
| Camellias grow and bloom best when protected from strong sun. The problem I see in planting near your livingroom window is reflected and/or reflected heat. You may be disappointed in a camellias performance in such a hot area. Perhaps you'd be happy with a different shrub? Viburnum x carlcephalum, the fragrant snowball bush, will grow in the site you describe. As an added bonus, the flowers have a heavenly scent! |
