|Can I divide a dwarf Korean lilac? If so, what time of year?|
Many thanks for your help.
|Lilacs tend to send suckers up from the roots. You can dig straight down between the main stem of your lilac and one of the suckers to separate them. As long as the separated shoot has roots and some leaves, it should grow into a new lilac bush. You can divide your lilac now or wait until next spring, just as new growth begins. Best wishes with your project!|
