I PLANTED 5 ENDLESS SUMMER HYDRANGEA'S THIS SPRING. THE ENDS OF A LOT OF THE LEAVES ARE TURNING BROWN AND CURLING UP AS IF BURNT. I'M GETTING NEW GROWTH AND FLOWERS BUT THE PLANT HAS SO MANY BROWN LEAVES IT DOESN'T LOOK NICE. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PLANTS? I HAVE BEEN GIVING THEM MIRACLE GROW FOR ACID LOVING PLANTS. ANY ADVISE.

Foliage problems such as this can be an indication of transplant stress, water stress, overfertilizing or some other soil imbalance, or possibly even a disease problem. Since these are new plants, I would strongly suggest you consult with your retailer -- or your local county extension -- to determine what is causing the discoloration. Based on knowing that, you can determine how to proceed. In the meantime, I would suggest you stop fertilizing as this can cause additional stress on a plant, and make sure that the soil is evenly moist but not saturated. This is important in helping the plants to become well rooted their first season. Avoid wetting the foliage when you water, in case it is a fungal or bacterial problem. I'm sorry I can't be more specific for you long distance. Good luck with your hydrangeas.
