Is there a bait trap for boers?? We've sprayed our trees, but it doesn't seem to be helping. One of the trees is about seven years old, the other is about three. We would hate to cut them down.
Thank you, Betty

Ash tree borers tend to be attracted to trees weakened by drought or other stresses. There are no commercially prepared traps available to homeowners, but you may try using Tanglefoot, a very sticky substance that will stop the pests in their tracks. Rather than spreading tanglefoot directly on the tree trunk (where it will be almost impossible to remove), wrap cardboard tightly around the tree trunk and slather on the Tanglefoot. This will at least stop the pests from walking up the trunk to do their damage. Best wishes with your tree!
