I was wondering if you can grow marigolds, zinnias or sweet peas in hanging flower pots?

Practically any plant you can put in the ground, you can plant in a hanging basket or pot. It's usually more attractive if you choose trailing plants rather than those with upright growth habits, but everyone has their own preferences. I'd use fuchsias, trailing geraniums, sweetpeas, peturnias, nasturtiums, alyssum, thyme or bacopa rather than marigolds and zinnias, but the choice is yours. For success, be sure to match the plant's sun requirements for the site you plan to hang the containers. Enjoy!
