You can purchase a product formulated for acid loving plants such as SEARLES? AZALEA & CAMELLIA POTTING MIX (that's just one brand, you can ask your local nursery about others they might carry or order for you). Or you can use a good-quality potting mix and amend it with peat moss. Pine needles are acidic but they are slow to break down, but you could start composting them and add the compost to a soil mix. There are also many fertilizers formulated for acid loving plants, which would be good to use when it's time to feed. Good luck!
