Campsis radicans is not hardy in your growing region without some special protection from winter cold. Expect the vines to die down each year, but healthy roots will quickly replace them every spring. Cover the soil with a thick mulch to keep it from freezing solid and the roots should winter over without problem. Enjoy your garden!
