For the past year, my subdivision has been recieving regular applications of summer fertilizer and weed control from a local lawn care company. Last fall, after application of the herbicide to the lawn, I noticed many dead branches on 2 Artic Blue Willow bushes. Company representatives came out and admitted damage to the shrubs. After a lot of TLC, the bushes are healthy again. This year, about one week after application, 3 Gro-Low Sumac bushes, show many red leaves with black spots and the overall color of the bushes is light yellow. I have searched the internet about the herbicide

Unfortunately, based on your description I am unable to tell you whether it is related, or not. I would suggest you work with the applicator to determine what if anything has happened to your shrubs as a result of the herbicide. The manufacturer of the chemical that was applied may also have specific information as to the symptoms to be expected. You might also wish to consult with your local county extension for help in identifying the cause of the discoloration. They may appreciate photos of the overall plant and close-ups and/or foliage samples in diagnosing it. If you suspect the material has been misused you might also check with the EPA or your state environmental office.

I'm sorry you are having trouble with your plants.
