|What is the right way to mow my lawn through Self propelled mower? I mean to say whether I should use, side discharge, mulch or rear bag collection ? Currently I am mulching the grass which drops on top of the lawn. What are the advantage and disadvantages while using mulch while mowing my grass ?

|I personally am in favor of allowing the clippings to remain on the grass as mulch. There really aren't any disadvantages. Just make sure the clippings don't pile up in clumps, which will can get wet and messy and/or kill the grass below. If you mow regularly, this shouldn't be an issue. Clippings return about 25 percent nitrogen to the soil as they decompose, which means fertilizer can be reduced or perhaps eliminated depending on the health of your lawn and soil. Some people believe that mulch causes thatch build-up, but research shows this is not the case. Mulching also means you don't have to bag clippings and dispose of them. About 20-40 percent (depending on region of the country) of waste sent to landfills is landscape trimmings that could be composted on site. I hope this info is helpful.
