Since your bougainvillea will need to live indoors over the winter months, I imagine it is in a container. If this is the case, you'll have really good results if you feed every 2-3 weeks with a half-strength dilution of Miracle-Gro. Diluting to half-strength and feeding every 2-3 weeks will ensure you won't accidentally burn the roots with an over-dose, yet you'll be supplying a constant source of nutrients for your bougainvillea. Best wishes with your plant!
