|I planted a Walker Siberian Peashrub in my rock garden this year and its color just isn't looking the way I think it should. Some of the leaves are yellow-looking. I've kept it watered so that shouldn't be an issue. This plant was quite expensive and I'm wondering if I'm just seeing some normal transplant
|Caragana arborescens or Siberian peashrub should be a bright green rather than yellow. This plant actually does best in full sun and a well drained soil and is considered extremely drought tolerant once established, so it is possible you have been overwatering it. The soil should be damp like a wrung out sponge, never sopping wet or saturated. To know if you need to water, dig into the soil with your finger and see. If it is still damp you do not need to water yet. Since this is a new plant you might also want to check back with your retailer for help troubleshooting.
