|The leaves are starting to turn a yellowish color...what's happening to it? Is it dying and if so what can I do to save it?|
Several different things can cause leaves on a sago palm to turn yellow. Eventually the older leaves on a sago will naturally turn yellow and then brown. However various stresses to the plant such as droughty conditions can speed this process causing older foliage to turn yellow prematurely. If the new leaves are turning yellow it may be from lack of nutrition, overwatering or due to poor soil conditions. Yellow leaves will usually not turn green again and can be cut from the plant to keep it attractive.
