I planted a Big Boy salad tomato plant this spring and it has bloomed wonderfully... however when I went to taste a ripe one they are very sweet.... can you help me?

There are as many gardeners in favor of the flavor of Big Boy as there are gardeners who are disappointed in its taste. It has a reputation for being more sweet than acid; If you want a big solid meat tomato with the old fashioned tomato taste I would definitely recommend the Mortgage Lifter.
