How should I prune a JAPANESE SNOWBELL TREE?

That plant really doesn't need any particular pruning regimen other that what you wish to do to shape the plant into a trunked tree or broader multitrunked large shrub/tree. If you want a tree form remove lower branches to create a trunk and remove any broken or rubbing branches. You can thin out the remaining branches a bit to open the center up while the plant is still young. Then leave it be to fill in and create its dense attractive shape. I would do any pruning in late winter but would minimize it as the plant just doesn't need much trimming.
