|My lime 25 year old lime tree has been in decline for about a year and is now about 75% gone and going fast. It has generally had the same care for fifteen years; namely, water about every three to four weeks with fertilizer in Spring and Summer. Could this be old age or is it more likely root rot? |Twenty five years is a long time for a citrus tree to grow in a 24" box. I think it is dying of old age and the kindest thing to do is to replace it. The largest size Monrovia carries is a 5-gallon patio tree. Citrus trees grow quickly, though. Best wishes with your new tree!
