|I would like to plant a mustard seed at a church function with a devotional about|
|Mustard seed is produced by an annual plant called Brassica juncea. The seeds are harvested and ground into a paste which then becomes a condiment. Mustard seeds will not grow into trees, but into leafy plants which will develop flowers and then seeds.
If you still want to go ahead with your mustard seed planting project, plant the seed about one-quarter inch deep in moistened potting soil in a well draining container, or directly into prepared garden soil. Keep the soil moist but not soggy wet and the seed should germinate in 7-10 days.
Good luck with your project!
