The crown of my three year old King Palm has brown leaves on the new growth, is this a disease, fungus or what? Is there some treatment or are the trees going to die?
Thanks

There is a disease called Bud Rot (Phytopthera) that fits the description, but there are no remedies available to home owners. Another problem that can cause similar symptoms is from the feeding of weevils. You may want to take a sample of an affected leaf to your local Cooperative Extension office. They can use a microscope to check for fungal spores and can recommend control strategies. Best wishes with your palms.
