Two days ago I visited a live butterfly exhibit. There were many beautiful plants & flowers there. In particular there was a plant approx. 2 to 3 ft. tall with lacy-type leaves (not solid-looking ones). The small flowers looked exactly like light blue butterflies. The flowers were the size of a nickel, maybe slightly larger. I lightly touched one to see if it was real. The plant gave the impression that someone with a basket a small blue butterflies placed them on this plant. Not so. I'd love to know about this plant and where I may purchase one of them. I have an extended kitchen with many windows and have many types of green-growing plants during the winter. More importantly, I love butterflies!! And, I have since I was a child years ago.
Thanks for your help, awaiting your reply.
|Based on your description I am unable to identify the plant; it might be some type of delphinium but honestly that is just a guess. I would suggest you contact the curator of the exhibit and ask. They should be able to tell you exactly what it is -- especially since it sounds so incredible. I am sorry I can't be more helpful.|
