I planted a vine this spring. It has grown to about 6 feet tall. Now all the new growth is coming in with tiny deformed leaves and a lot of the large older leaves are dropping. Why?

I can't really diagnose a plant problem without seeing it, so I can only suggest what might cause the deformed leaves. Insects can suck the fluids out of tissues and cause curled, cupped and/or yellowing leaves. Fungal and bacterial diseases can cause the same symptoms. Water stress, over or under fertilization, or application of some pesticides or herbicides can also cause the same symptoms. How about taking a sample of the problem to your local Cooperative Extension office or Master Gardener Clinic for a positive diagnosis? Along with identification of the problem, you'll get a list of control options. Best wishes with your potato vine!
