I see that it's noted that the Diabolo Ninebark is idea for the Pacific Northwest. Would this plant survive in the Northeast as well? We live in Connecticut and are considering the diabolo in our new landscaping design we are working on. It would possible go in front of a family room window. I see it can get as tall as 8-10 feet...would this be an idea location as long as we trim it? We don't want it to grow over our windows. How often would we need to prune it? Thanks so much!!!

Physocarpus opulifolius 'Diablo', the Eastern Ninebark, grows wonderfully well in Connecticut (there are several on the U Conn campus). You can prune in the early spring to keep this plant under control. Enjoy!
