Frequent watering promotes disease. Once a new planting of grass have a few weeks to get established it is better to back of gradually to where you water once a week with a good soaking. The most likely disease at this time of the year is Take All Patch. Your local County Extension Office can assist you with having a sample diagnosed so you can know what the proper remedy might be.
