i have an old holly bush, not sure what kind. It was in place and growing very well, next to the side of my townhome for the past 17, sharp, prickly leaves. When I have prunned it, must wear gloves. Morning sun, afternoon shade. iwant to trim it into tree form. When is the best time to do this. your help in very appreciated. Carol |
I would do this in the winter time, taking no more than 20 percent of the volume off in one year. Start at the bottom and work upward. DO not use sealing paint or pruning wound dressing, they are no longer recommended. Good luck! |
