I have 3 questions. First will this plant survive indoors during the winter? What are the little shoots of bean looking sprouts on this plant? Is it seeds? |
Linda, Those bean looking shoots are seed pods. The plant can take temps below freezing but not as low as will occur in a typical Amarillo winter. If you bring it in you will need to provide a very bright window to keep it growing over winter. Otherwise I might try to find a cold but protected indoor spot such as a garage where it could go dormant, but not drop below about 28 or 30 degrees. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
